Alliance for New Music-Theatre (USA)

Vaněk Unleashed, an original music-theatre work takes its performance style from American musicals and silent screen comedy. It features Havel’s most beloved character, Ferdinand Vaněk, who seems to have been dropped to earth without a set of instructions. This clown-like innocent observes an alienating society while imagining a fantasy life outside prison only to discover that prisons are also inside. His social encounters are both hilarious and chilling.
